Isla’s First Ballgame
Today Isla went to her first baseball game! It was the Giants vs. the Phillies starting at 6:05 pm. We went with Grammy and Papaw and while we were at the yard, we ran into our friends Nicole & Bo (Phillies fans), and Annie. We were also visited by the Pandaval! Pablo “Panda” Sandoval is one of the Giants fun-to-watch rookies that’s been hitting well this year. After pitcher Barry Zito coined this nickname, a flurry of panda merch flooded the kiosks around the park. Grammy couldn’t resist and gave Isla a stuffed black-and-white cub whose muzzle bears a striking resemblance to Gecko’s. (On a side note, I’ve come to learn that Pablo and I share a birthday! Heh!)
